Listen to stories about Abraham Willet and Louisa Holthuysen, the last occupants of the canal-side house at Herengracht 605.

The audio tour is available at the Museum Willet-Holthuysen front desk in Dutch, English, Russian, German, Italian, Spanish and French. The audio tour is included in the entrance fee. Groups can book a tour via boekingen@amsterdammuseum.nl.

The audio tour tells the story of the former occupants Abraham and Louisa Willet-Holthuysen. It guides you through the museum, giving short accounts of the special rooms and objects. Starting in the basement, you move upwards through the kitchen and onto the ground floor, where the couple received their guests.

The audio tour takes you through the ladies' salon, where Louisa received visitors, via the ballroom into the gentlemen's parlour, where Abraham held art evenings. The tour proceeds into the dining room and conservatory with a view of the garden, which runs alongside Amstelstraat. Climbing the staircase, you will see three sculptures depicting the Judgement of Paris. The audio tour explains more about this story from Greek mythology. You are then taken to the bedroom, completing your tour in Abraham's collection room.
